2004: The Sierra Leonian Govt made it compulsory for all parents to send their children to school. Education is supposed to be free but many school administrators charge a fee of around £30 per year. The average adult wage in Sl is £80 per annum.
2007/8 : the SL Govt has built around 500 new schools but there is nowhere near enough teachers or books. Over half the teachers already employed are unqualified
This is why they need our help we send over books supply money to train teachers and money for book.
