Secretary Report

We have had 3 meetings of the Olney- Newton Link Trustee's committee since the AGM 2007. These were on:

13th June, 9 present, 1 apology

12th Sept, 8 present. Rachel Lewis resigned as a trustee. We thank Rachel for all her hard work as a trustee and look forward to continuing to work with her.

11th Dec, 7 present plus Dr Brian Partridge who was invited to share his experiences after his recent visit to Newton . Brian was then invited and elected to join the trustee committee.

The trustees have discussed a range of issues including expenditure, fundraising and how to gain more sponsorship. The trustees receive the minutes of the meetings as well as updates from the treasurer and friends groups.

We have received minutes of meetings of the Newton committee for 14th May, 24th Nov, 7th Jan, 2nd Feb and 23rd Feb. Secretary Abu Bakarr Fofana must be congratulated for his excellent English and fantastic email skills! Not easy when sending an email includes a day trip to the capital!

We have also received statements of expenditure from Newton for money sent out up to Nov. We are waiting for the next one soon!

As well as fund raising events we've participated in Life path, the Cowper and Newton Day at the Cowper and Newton museum and the UKOWLA conference in Hull at end of October.

There have also been 3 meetings of the Fund Raising committee.
